Batik Fashion Week showcased the beauty of Indonesian handmade batik. 

 

The event comprised a series of fashion shows and art installations. The fashion shows featured casual, formal and high-fashion collections by local designers — all made of hand-stamped or hand-drawn batik textiles.

 

Among the brands and designers that showcased their products during Batik Fashion Week are BIN House, Danar Hadi, Iwan Tirta Private Collection, Jeffry Tan, Sapto Djojokartiko and Rama Dauhan.

"I'm very excited to take part in this event. I believe it will encourage Indonesia's youth to learn more about handmade batik and preserve the tradition," Rama said.
